Freelance retouching for advertising agencies Walsh Trott Chick & Smith, Iris-Nation, Meteorite and the BBC including photography, picture research, layout and visualising
Working directly with photographers on a consultant basis, advising how to best shoot in terms of post production
Retouching in Photoshop alongside the creatives and art directors,
Preparing files for photographers for their photo libraries, organising work flow and archiving
Retouching for fashion magazine Asiana.

I set up my own retouching studio in W1 because of client demand
Day-to-day running of the company including getting the brief from the client, retouchingand proofing. Company expanded quite quickly, I trained 2 new operators and the company evolved to include website creation.

Clients: Safeway, Direct Line, Halifax, Robinsons, AOL, Mecedes Benz, for Bates Communications and MWO

Developing digital retouching Studio for existing photo lab
Making new business contacts, cold calling and optimising existing clients within group
Maintenance of clients, taking briefs, as well as retouching (Barco system), taking work back to clients, quality control, general liaison and schmoozing
Managing a team of four, with cross training so that they could cover for each other, assisting in training and programme apprenticeships, purchasing equipment, maintaining studio, managing service contracts with suppliers, overseeing maintenance of equipment, calibration of input and output devices, colour management for pre-press and other media, as well as design of corporate materials.

Clients: Creative Partnership, Carlson, Bates Communications.
